Distance Learning Expectations
At Naugatuck Public school we value relationships above all. Our goal is to keep relationships and emotional wellness at the forefront of our work. At City Hill Middle School we will each identify how we can maintain relationships virtually.
As we embark on a distance learning program, we must keep in mind our values: Personal Relationships, Health and Wellness, High Expectations and Access and Opportunity for All. These values help guide us, unify us, and ensure our commitment to each and every student. We believe that we will become stronger as a community as a result of this emergency pandemic.
When designing CHMS distance learning plan we addressed four guiding principles: quality teaching and learning aligned with the Vision of the Graduate, connectivity and emotional well being, accommodations and accessibility and methods of assessment.
At the beginning of the 20-21 school year we will adopt the Hybrid Model. Students will be in cohorts with students last name ending in A-Le attending school on MW and students with last name Li-Z attending school on TR.
