The boys soccer team opened the season with a 0-0 draw against Tyrrell MS. Great defensive play gave way to lost opportunities on the offensive side. The boys look to notch their first win next Tuesday at Derby MS.
Another win for our girls soccer team, 8-1! Off to a great start of the season! The tying goal occurred in the first half, and the second half featured goal after goal. Sophia scored the tying goal then short after Lauren scored. The second half was goal after goal! Lauren scored twice, Aubrey scored twice then Irelend, Nevaeh and Ana had their first goals of the season!
The City Hill boys cross country team opened the year by defeating Tyrrell and Wallace. Finishing first and second overall were Brendan Lyles and Jack Healy. Jett Hall, Jacob Guggino, and Blake Stone closed out the scoring for City Hill finishing fifth, seventh, and eighth overall.
The Lady Cyclones opened the season losing to a tough Tyrrell team on their home course, but defeated Wallace 25-30. Leading City Hill and finishing second overall was Jada Costa. Ayana Williams finished sixth overall with Bella Rafala, Amanda Jimenez, and Joey Burke finishing out the scoring for the Lady Cyclones. Practice today as usual until 4:00. Go Cyclones!
Clear backpacks for Chrome Books are available in the main office for $5.00 each. These are for to be used for Chrome Books only.
KICK THE YEAR OFF RIGHT!
It is time for our annual Kickball Tournament on Thursday, September 27th at 5:00 PM at CHMS.
Students, please use the sign up sheets in your home room to form your own teams for the kickball tournament. You should keep your team to a minimum of eight students and you are encouraged to ask a faculty member to participate on your team. The last team standing will face off against the faculty in a Faculty/Student Kickball Championship.
Any student who is interested in joining the City Hill Band Program as a beginner or returning instrumentalist are asked to see Mrs. Dravis in the Band Room. Instruments available for beginners or returning band students are flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and baritone horn. No prior music experience necessary. Please stop by the band room if you have any questions or to obtain a permission slip to join.
