When is the first day of school? Monday, August 27th  
 
What supplies should I bring?  We do not require any supplies at CHMS. Follow the link for the  Suggested Supply List  
 
What is my child's schedule?  Grade seven students' schedules were distributed at the orientations in June and are now available in the main office. Grade eight students can check powerschool which will open soon for schedules.  Each student will be given a schedule on the first day of school.
 
Where can I find the bus routes? The bus routes including bus stops and times for pickup will be published in the Citizen's News and posted on the district website. Bus routes are projected to be ready on August 17th.
 
Where do I go to drop my child off at CHMS? Students can be dropped off at 7:40 AM in the front of the building. At dismissal time, parents will pick up their children in the back parking lot. 
 
What time does CHMS school day begin and end? Students begin to arrive at 7:40 and the homeroom bell rings at 7:55. We dismiss students at 2:25.  
 
Is there a dress code?  CHMS students follow the NPS 7-12 dress code. Dress Code
 
Do students have a summer reading or math assignment? Students no longer are required to complete summer reading and math packets. Instead they are to complete a summer learning experience.  Summer Learning Experience
 
Is it necessary to have an updated physical for my child? Students entering grade seven must have documentation of a physical dated on or after July 1, 2017. CHMS nurse needs a copy of the physical for the file. Students interested in trying out for an athletic team must have a current physical. Physicals are valid for 13 months. 
 
How can my son or daughter join a sport team? The fall sports offered at CHMS are as follows: girls and boys soccer, cross country and cheerleading.  Students should watch the morning news show to learn details about signing up to try out.  Sign ups will be within the first week of school.  Students unsure of where to sign up should inquire with a homeroom teacher or in the main office. 
 
Are there other activities my son or daughter could join? CHMS has a variety of enriching activities during the school day and after school clubs as well.  Follow the link for a complete list. Activities
