7th Grade STEM
8th Grade Science
My name is Ms. McCart and I am pleased to be the Garnet Team Science Teacher after long-term subbing at City Hill last year. I am excited to get to work with the 8th grade Garnet students as they prepare for their time at high school, and also with 7th grade students as they learn the expectations here at City Hill. My goal is to empower students to be self-motivated learners who are curious about the world around them, and hold themselves to high standards. My role as a teacher is to guide students towards independence, and provide them with 21st century life skills.
About Ms. McCart
I entered the world of teaching as an Agriculture Educator. I was inspired by teachers in my own past, and hope to inspire my own students in the same way. I'm enjoying my time teaching at Naugatuck because of how creative our students are. They are not afraid to think out of the box and ask great questions in class. It's a joy when students are excited to come to class and face the challenges I offer them.
